Bill Lee has been Santa with live Reindeer since he came to Colorado in 1975. He ranched out of Golden before moving to Idaho Springs, where he runs Laughing Valley Ranch. Over the years Bill has shown equine in the National Stock Show, displayed all sorts of farm animals for educational experiences (annually in Cripple Creek for Donkey Derby Days & Lakewood Cider Days), provided kids Donkey rides, and Burros for Pack Burro Races in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Bill was also Santa Claus for Cherry Creek mall for 30+ years and Bartended at the Grizzly Rose for 30+ years as a miner.  

Bill has been a long-time supporter and participant in Pack Burro Racing and was intramental in making pack burro racing Colorado's official summer heritage sport, providing educational experiences for children, and of course, being Santa Claus for years.  His animals are at this time "Fostered" out to his many friends across Colorado, but, he needs financial assistance for his animals while he is being weaned from a ventilator from post-COVID complications. Your Participation in this Virtual Event will help Bill recover in a long-term rehabilitation center in Denver and hopefully resume his life's activities soon.

1. Register any time between December 26th and January 16th. 
   

   Run your race - between January 1st and January 31st

   100% of your registration fee will go to the Support Bill. That’s right, 100%. We are not doing this to make money – we are doing this to help Bill overcome the serious challenges he is facing due to COVID.
2. Submit your Time online. Runners submit their run time – this is EASY with our enhanced virtual race website (details below).

Races:
5k Brave Burro Challenge - A virtual 5k with your Burro
5k Critter Challenge - A virtual 5k with any critter (dog, cat, llama, iguana)
5k Hans Solo Challenge - No companion? run this virtual 5k!
Virtual-Virtual Marathon - RUN A MARATHON WITHOUT RUNNING!!!  You register and on January 31st we run a "Random" marathon. All you do is register and we do the rest - No running required!! 
Virtual Poop Drop - Buy a square for $10.00 and we randomly select the winning square

Submitting your run time:

CLICK HERE to go to the New Ears Cele-BRAY-tion Run results page, then select the results for your Race (Brave Burro, Critter Runs or Solo).  The ItsYourRace results page for your distance will appear.
Find your name in the results for your distance.  With you name you will see an "Update Time" button.  Click "Update Time".

If you are not currently logged into ItsYourRace, a login window will appear.  Log in using your ItsYourRace user id (probably your email address) and password.  Can't remember ?  Click "Forgot Your Password" to reset.

Enter your time and click the "Save Your Time" button.  That's it!

How to Record & Upload Your Run Results With the IYR Results App


1. Download the IYR Virtual App to your phone for the Apple App store or google store search for "Its Your Race"

2. Login using the email address you registered with

3. Search for this event

4. Go to "Tracker" and click "Ready to Start My Race"

5. Run or Walk the distance you signed up for and the app will automatically upload your results (as long as your login email matches your registration email)

6. Check your results HERE
